Assessment of Cluster Potential and Decision Making Criterion in the Textile and Apparel Sector Using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (Ahp)

In this study, the potential of specific-sector clustering and the relevant decision-making criteria are identified for 10 provinces of Turkey based on the clustering approach and using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and through one-to-one interviews and surveys administered on 2,327 firms active in the textile and apparel sector. When identifying this potential, the clustering tendencies of companies with input-output relations and included in the value chain were also used in addition to survey data. At the end of the study, according to the data obtained through the AHP and the surveys held in 10 provinces, two provinces came to fore, meeting the highest number of criteria in terms of clustering potential. These are the provinces of Istanbul and Gaziantep. The provinces of Izmir and Bursa were identified as being closer to having a clustering potential compared to other provinces. In addition, it is expected that this study will make a significant contribution to literature as this study uses the AHP method for the first time in identifying the potential of clustering.

Fixed Point Results Via Simulation Functions in the Context of Quasi-Metric Space

In this paper, we investigate the existing non-unique fixed points of certain mappings, via simulation functions in the context of quasi-metric space. Our main results generalize and unify several existing results on the topic in the literature.
Gıda Taşımacılığı Sektörünü Etkileyen Kriterlerin Analizi

Gıda güvenliği günümüzde büyük bir sorun oluşturmaktadır. Şirketler gıdanın güvenli birşekilde taşınması ve gıda kayıplarını en aza indirmek için büyük çaba göstermektedir. Buçalışmada, özellikle gıda taşımacılığı sürecinde yaşanan sorunlar dikkate alınarak gıda taşımacılığısürecini etkileyen kriterlerin neler olduğunun belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu kriterler, literatüraraştırması ve uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda belirlenerek yaygın olarak kullanılan çok kriterlikarar verme (ÇKKV) yöntemi olan analitik hiyerarşi süreci (AHS) yöntemi ile analiz edilmiş vesıralanmıştır. Belirlenen faktörler arasında araç uygunluğu ve güvenliği, ATP (Bozulabilir GıdaMaddelerinin Uluslararası Taşımacılığı ve Taşımalarında Özel Araçların Kullanımı Antlaşması)konvansiyonuna uygunluk, taşımacılık koordinasyonu için kullanılan yazılım seçimi önemli başarıkriterleri olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Önerilen kriterler ile, gıda taşımacılığı yapan firmalarınsahip olması gereken özellikler belirlenmeye çalışılmış ve firma yöneticilerinin uzun vadelistratejiler planlamasına yardımcı olmaya çalışılmıştır.
Göç Yönetiminde Lojistik Konum Seçimi: Ege Bölgesi Üzerine Bir Inceleme

Türkiye coğrafi konumu gereği önemli göç rotaları üzerinde bulunan bir ülkedir. Özellikle son yıllarda artan göç eden insan sayısındaki yoğunluk, Türkiye’deki göç olgusunun farklı yönlerden ele alınarak etkin bir şekilde yönetilmesini gerekli kılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, göç yönetiminde lojistik konum seçimi, önem arz eden konuların başında gelmektedir. Göç yönetiminin sürdürülebilirliği, operasyonel destek faaliyetlerin yürütülmesi ile doğrudan ilişkilidir. Destek faaliyetleri sadece sağlam zemine sahip bir lojistik yapı üzerine inşa edilebilir. Mevcut kaynakların verimli ve etkin kullanımı organizasyon yapısını güçlendirir ve aynı zamanda bu yapı içindeki personeli motive ve teşvik eder, bu da yönetimi güçlendirir. Bu çalışmada, Ege Bölgesi’nde göç yönetiminde operasyonel faaliyetlerin sürdürülmesi konusunda önem taşıyan lojistik desteği sağlamak amacıyla kurulabilecek bir lojistik tesisin yer seçimi sorununa yönelik çözüm önerisi sunulmaktadır. Çalışmada öncelikle Analitik Hiyerarşi Süreci (AHS) yöntemi kullanılarak lojistik yer seçimi kriterleri sıralanmıştır. Ardından, sıralanan kriterler doğrultusunda, MULTIMOORA tekniği kullanılarak lojistik yerler belirlenmiştir.

Note on Common Fixed Point Theorems in Convex Metric Spaces

In the present paper, we pointed out that there is a gap in the proof of the main result of Rouzkard et al. (The Bulletin of the Belgian Mathematical Society 2012). Then after, utilizing the concept of (E.A.) property in convex metric space, we obtained an alternative and correct version of this result. Finally, it is clarified that in the theory of common fixed point, the notion of (E.A.) property in the set up of convex metric space develops some new dimensions in comparison to the hypothesis that a range set of one map is contained in the range set of another map.

Tackling Service Quality in the Telecommunication B2b Market

Purpose This study will attempt to focus on how vendors serve operators, as operator service quality starts with vendor's technology infrastructure and service quality. The purpose of this study is to exhibit the most important vendor service quality items and dimensions for the operators in the telecommunications industry. Design/methodology/approach A total of 268 employees from various age groups, cities, job levels and departments participated in the survey. Findings Expected service quality results indicated that operators need high service quality. When telecommunication needs of subscribers are taken into account, it is normal for operators to expect high service quality from vendors. Results also reveal that being dependable and providing continuous support are critical for the telecommunications industry. Perceived service quality results demonstrate that customer expectations failed to be satisfied. In this study conducted in the telecommunications market, the expectations of operator employees regarding vendors is shaped under two dimensions. These dimensions are employee and service center features and provider timeliness and accuracy. When Topsis method was used to determine the most important vendor characteristics, timeliness and trust were identified as the top two criteria. Originality/value To the best of the authors' knowledge, this study is the first to put forth the most important vendor service quality items and dimensions for the operators in the telecommunications industry.

Wavelet Transform and Artificial Neutral Network for the Quantitative Resolution of Ternary Mixtures

Two different approaches continuous wavelet transform (CWT) and artificial neural network (ANN) were successfully applied to the quantitative resolution of ternary mixtures of paracetamol (PAR), metamizol (MET) and caffeine (CA) having strongly overlapping spectra. First approach is based on the use of CWT signals of the ratio spectra of three active compounds in samples. Various CWT families were tested for the extraction of cardinal information and small noise condition and higher peaks of the original spectra. In this paper, three methods: Mexican hat function (MEX) (a = 70), reverse biorthogonal (RBIO3.5) (a = 100) and biorthogonal (BIOR2.4) (a = 90) were found suitable for determination of three active compounds and their signal analysis. ANN, as a multivariate numerical method, was used for the quantitative resolution of the same ternary mixtures. The performance of CWT and ANN approaches was validated by analyzing the synthetic mixtures of PAR, MET and CA compounds. In addition, the standard addition technique was also used for the same purpose. The experimental results provided by CWT technique were compared with each other and those obtained by ANN method and a coincidence was observed for all the obtained results.
Yazılım Sektöründe Nitelikli Personel Seçiminin Nötrosofik Ahp ve Topsis Yöntemleri İle İncelenmesi

Amaç- Çalışmanın temel amacı, insan kaynakları yönetiminde firma performansına etki eden nitelikli personel seçimi için gerekli kriterlerin (niteliklerin) belirlenerek, bu kriterler altında başvuran adaylardan en uygun olanın belirlenmesi ve seçilmesidir. Ayrıca etkili ve kısa sürede sıralamanın yapılması için bir yöntem sunulmaktadır.Yöntem- Araştırmada kullanılan veriler, yazılım sektöründe yer alan 5 firmada çalışan 15 insan kaynakları uzamanı ve yöneticileri ile yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler ve literatür taraması ile elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler aralık değerli nötrosofik AHP yöntemi kullanılarak personel seçimine yönelik adaylarda aranacak kriterler sıralanmıştır. Daha sonra bu kriterlerin ağırlıkları nötrosofik TOPSIS yöntemi ile analiz edilerek proje yöneticisi olarak bavurana adaylar sıralanmaya çalışılmıştır. Bulgular- Kriter sıralaması sonucuna göre personel seçiminde yer alması gereken en önemli kriter 0,4900912 değeri ile “Eğitim Düzeyi” olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu kriteri, sırasıyla “Yazılım Tecrübesi”, “Yabancı Dil”, “Kişisel Özellikler” ve “Sahip olunan Sertifikalar” izlemektedir. Daha sonra belirlenen bir yazılım firması için, aralıklı nötrosofik TOPSIS yöntemi kullanılarak, proje yöneticisi belirlenmiş ve adaylar; Aday2> Aday1> Aday3> Aday4 şeklinde sıralanmıştır.Tartışma- Yazılım ve bilişim alanında yer alan firmalar için en doğru ve en uygun personelin belirlenmesi firma başarısı ve sürdürülebilirliği açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Karar vericilerin klasik yaklaşımları kullanarak belirsizlik altında güvenilir tespitler yapması pek kolay olmamaktadır. Kullanılan aralık değerli nötrosofik yöntemler, özellikle adayların değerlendirilmesinde ağırlıklandırılan özelliklerin net değerler ile ifade edilemediği durumlarda oldukça başarılı olmaktadır. Ayrıca çalışma sırasında insan kaynakları ile yaptığımız görüşmelerde, insan kaynakları biriminin farklı mülakatlar ile adayı belirlemesi yerine, kullandığımız teknikler ile çok daha kısa sürede ve etkili olarak sıralanabildiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
