Approximation by Kantorovich Type Q-Bernstein Operators
(World Scientific and Engineering Acad and Soc, 2007) Dalmanoglu, Ozge
In the present paper, Kantorovich type of Bernstein polynomials based on q-integers is constructed. Approximation properties and rate of convergence of these operators are established with the help of the Korovkin theorem.

Approximation Properties of Bivariate Generalization of Bleimann-Butzer and Hahn Operators Based on the Q-Integers
(World Scientific and Engineering Acad and Soc, 2007) Ersan, Sibel; Ersan, Sibel; Yabancı Diller Bölümü
In this presentation, bivariate case of BBH operators based on the q-integers is constructed. Then Korovkin type approximation properties of this generalization are obtained with the help of Volkov's Theorem. Lastly, we obtain rates of convergence of these operators by means of bivariate modulus of continuity and Lipschitz type maximal functions.

Killing-Yano Tensors, Surface Terms and Superintegrable Systems
(Amer inst Physics, 2004) Baleanu, Dumitru; Baleanu, D; Defterli, Ö; Defterli, Özlem; Matematik
Killing-Yano and Killing tensors are investigated corresponding to a set of two dimensional superintegrable systems. A suitable surface term is added to the corresponding free Lagrangian describing the motion of a particle on a 2-sphere of unit radius and we analyze the symmetries of the obtained geometries.

    On Admissible Hybrid Geraghty Contractions
(North Univ Baia Mare, 2020) Karapinar, Erdal; Karapınar, Erdal; Petrusel, Adrian; Petrusel, Gabriela; Matematik
In this manuscript, we introduce the notion of admissible hybrid Geraghty contraction and we investigate the existence of fixed points of such mappings in the setting of complete metric spaces. Our results not only extend and generalize several results in the fixed point theory literature, but also unify most of them. We give some corollaries to illustrate the novelty of the main result.

Compatibility of Non-Generic Supersymmetries and Geometric Duality for a Subclass of Generalized Pp-Wave Metrics
(Amer inst Physics, 2004) Baleanu, D; Baleanu, Dumitru; Baskal, S; Matematik
Spinning point particle theories accommodate non-generic supercharges in connection with the existence of Killing-Yano tensors. Killing-Yano tensors of order two and three and their corresponding Killing tensors are found for a subclass of generalized pp-wave metrics. These metrics include the pp-wave itself, its possible generalizations and the Siklos metric which is conformal to that. The compatibility between geometric duality and non-generic symmetries is discussed within the context of the metric solutions. It is found that some of the metric solutions admit anti-de Sitter spacetimes while some are found to be purely radiative.

Fractional Euler-Lagrange Equations for Constrained Systems
(Amer inst Physics, 2004) Avkar, Tansel; Avkar, T; Baleanu, D; Baleanu, Dumitru; Matematik
The fractional calculus is the name for the theory of integrals and derivatives of arbitrary order, which generalize the notions of n-fold integration and integer-order differentiation. Differential equations of fractional order appear in certain applied problems and in theoretical researches. In this paper, the Euler-Lagrange equations of the Lagrangians linear in velocities were derived using the fractional calculus. Two examples of constrained systems possessing a gauge invariance are investigated in details, the explicit solutions of Euler-Lagrange equations are obtained, and the recovery of the classical results is discussed.

Evaluation of Data Mining for Two Child-Related, Social Risk Issues
    (CEUR-WS, 2017) Lıttle, James; Little, J.; Waheed, H.A.; Rixon, A.; Matematik
Two child-related social issues are examined using data mining to determine successful ways of predicting risk. The issues of child truancy and child abuse can be considered similar as both are influenced by, the child’s characteristics, family and environment. The results show that from an initial portfolio of algorithms, a one-nearest neighbour approach works well. We believe that reflects the nature of the problem, where expert opinion classifies each new pupil /case in terms of similar ones, while the one-nearest aspect, reflects the small amount of data we had access to. © 2017 CEUR-WS. A Novel Intelligent and Fast Question Answering System for World Wide Web
(int inst informatics & Systemics, 2007) Aşkun, Ali Rıza; Bolat, Saadettin; Demirbulak, Dilara; Askun, Ali Riza; Dernirbulak, Dilara; Hassanpour, Reza; Bolat, Saadettin; Hassanpour, Reza; Ortak Dersler Bölümü; İngiliz Dili ve Edebiyatı; Yazılım Mühendisliği; Bilgisayar Mühendisliği
The World Wide Web has expanded to include on-line access to an almost unlimited number of documents. However, this enormous source of information brings with it the problem of searching the documents efficiently and easily. We have developed a Web-based Question Answering System, which primarily focuses on open domain fact-based short answer questions and also some definition questions. The most important characteristics of the system are its capability in understanding questions given in a natural language style and the effective search which avoids transferring a large amount of unnecessary data. Experimental results show the superiority of the proposed method to available similar systems in terms of accuracy.

Oscillation Criteria for Second Order Impulsive Delay Differential Equation
(Amer inst Physics, 2004) Taş, Kenan; Alzabut, J; Zafert, A; Baleanu, Dumitru; Matematik
A necessary and sufficient condition is obtained for oscillation of bounded solutions of second order impulsive delay differential equations of the form (r(t)x(t))'+p(t)f(x(i(t)))=0, t not equal theta Delta(r(theta(i))x'(theta(i)))+b(i)g(x(sigma(theta(i)))) = 0, i is an element of Z, Deltax(theta(i)) = 0. An example is also inserted to illustrate the effect of impulses on the oscillatory behavior of the solutions.

On Hybrid Contractions Via Simulation Function in the Context of Quasi-Metric Spaces
(Yokohama Publ, 2020) Karapinar, Erdal; Fulga, Andreea
In this manuscript, we aim at investigating the existence of a fixed point theorem for the mappings that satisfy hybrid contraction in the setting of quasi-metric spaces. We provide examples to indicate the validity of the observed results.
