Turkish military services field can be conceptualized for embracing two distinct and inconsistent types of institutional logics, namely; mandatory military service logic as the dominant and pragmatic logics as the alternatives. We examine the relationship between the dominant logic which determines legitimate organizational activities and alternative logics which are activated sporadically in the field of Turkish military services. From this standpoint, the circumstances whereby pragmatic logics as alternative institutional logics become effective in the field without devitalizing the dominant logic is explored. Broadly, the results indicate that dominant and alternative logics can support each other in order to preserve field's static condition, rather than interfere with each other so as to induce a permanent transformation.

(Eskisehir Osmangazi Univ, Fac Education, 2015) Berke, Burcu; Temiz, Dilek; Temiz, Dilek; Karakurt, Eda; Uluslararası Ticaret ve Finansman
Macroeconomic equilibrium in an economy is provided by equalizing of internal and external economic balances. While internal economic balance consists of saving-investment balance of the private sector and the income-expenditure balance of the public sector (budget balance), the external economic balance is comprised of the current account balance. According to this equation, when both internal economic balances gave deficits, it is required that the current account balance is expected to give a deficit up to them. This situation is defined as "triple deficit". Triple deficits are generally a problem occurring in the economies trying to grow over the potential, in which there is an insufficient domestic savings. Therefore, it must have been examined the relationship between triple deficit and growth in Turkey. In this study, the effect of each component (balances) of the "triple deficit" hypothesis on growth are studied by VAR model during period of 2003Q2-2012Q4 in Turkey and it is found that these balances are the most explaining variables the growth.

(Eskisehir Osmangazi Univ, Fac Education, 2009) Ozen, Sukru; Kalemci, Arzu
In this study, the emergence, institutionalization, and consequences of National Management and Organization Congress (NMOC) in Turkey are examined from the new institutionalist perspective. Based upon the interview data collected from the main actors who play crucial roles in the emergence and structuring of the congress, it is examined how the congress was initiated, and structured, and how the conference influenced the management and organization field in Turkey. It is found that the congress was initiated by a group of academics who shared the logic of "scienticism" in the field, and were dissatisfied with the boundaries and outcomes of the traditional logic prevalent in the field. The congress was also structured and legitimated by this group by inspiring from the American and European models, and mobilizing the participation of the crucial actors who represented the traditional logic. It is also found that the congress influenced the identity of the field, the quantity and quality of researches in the field and triggered other congresses in the field.
