With this potential, cultural heritage can significantly contribute to community resilience, yet available resilience strategy documents place limited emphasis on cultural heritage. Based on this observed lack of systematic consideration, this paper analyses the resilience strategy documents presented in the 100 Resilient Cities Programme, and discerns six approaches towards cultural heritage, namely ignorance, economic development tool, identity construction, social component, physical integration tool, and comprehensive consideration. Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign, which coincided with Wonder Woman's new post as the United Nations ambassador, has been the closest moment for this goal to be achieved. Clinton's inattention to truth-telling, the email interrogation pursued by the FBI against her and her failure to win the election, however, have in part resulted in the passing of that moment. This study, on this account, probes Hillary Clinton's candidacy for president in terms of women's historical relation with truth-telling and feminist standpoint. It argues that if Clinton had been more committed to the truth-telling principles and practices, her presidential campaign would have been a substantial contribution to historical and political feminism.Conference Object Citation - WoS: 2Citation - Scopus: 5Throughput Maximisation of Different Signal Shapes Working on 802.16e Mobile Multihop Network Using Novel Cognitive Methods(Springer-verlag Berlin, 2010) Preveze, Barbaros; Safak, AyselThis study proposes cognitive methods for managing the multimedia packet traffic of 802.16e system providing the dynamic spectrum sharing by TDM & OFDMA under heavy traffic conditions. The cognitive techniques are used in order to maximize the throughput of a system having different signal shapes such as video, voice or data packets. All real time voice and video packets transmissions have been provided with full success where the loss rate of data packets has been minimized using the cognitive methods. This study aims not only to move beyond the setting descriptions in a literary text but also to open up Henri Lefebvre's theory of space, particularly his notion of rhythmanalysis, that have been utilized in the fields of architecture, sociology, geography, urban and regional planning to include literature as well. To this end, Doris Lessing's sketch, "Storms" from the collection London Observed: Stories and Sketches, will be analysed since it displays various life trajectories in London and provides a critical view of the city from two different perspectives - that of the taxi driver and of the narrator - which contradict each other. Focusing on their interpretations of London and to what extent they are able to sense and make meaning of rhythms, thus, offers a new mode of observing the movement and continuity of life in the city, which also displays the relationship between humans and the spaces they occupy, and what feelings they attribute to. © 2020 Karadeniz Technical University.
