In the framework of the main argument that multiple regional vulnerabilities and setbacks in healthcare systems and economic capacity inherited from the Soviet era shaped the response capacity of the regional actors with the outbreak of the pandemic, it first provides an account of the pre-pandemic background conditions in these spheres in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia, going back to the Soviet period. It then explores the post-1991 and pandemic period conditions in respect of the same actors in the same spheres, maintaining that the pandemic exacerbated the earlier vulnerabilities and led to limited responses. The final analysis affirms the findings and offers some recommendations for the future. © 2024 selection and editorial matter, Erman Akilli, Burak Güneş and Ahmet Gökbel.Book Part Transatlantic approach to global security problems(Dış Politika Enstitüsü, 2008) Akşemsettinoğlu, GökhanThe general dynamics of the post-Cold War era have been concentrated around the idea of replacing earlier conflicts with cooperation. This idea is coupled with a vision of a more peaceful and prosperous age. In considering a peaceful world, security issues must be foremost. There is no doubt that both the US and Europe are major security powers in the postwar period, and that relations between them determine global issues. This paper, therefore, analyzes both the cooperative and competitive natures of transatlantic approach to global security problems. The paper examines, shortly, the security issues surrounding “problem” states, including Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Nigeria, and the Middle East region - as of Arab-Israeli relations, in particular.Book Part Ukrayna’da Milli Aidiyet, Rekabet ve Azınlıklar(2014) Karadeli, CemBook Part Tek Parti Döneminde bir Radikal Muhafazakar Politika Mektebi olarak 'Sosyal Siyaset'(İletişim Yayınları, 2003) Kansu, AykutBook Part Şiddete Meyyalim Vallahi Dertten: Hegemonik Erkeklik ve Şiddet(İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi Yayınları, 2015) Türk, Hasan BahadırBook Part Prens Sabahaddin'in Düşünsel Kaynakları ve Aşırı-Muhafazakar Düşüncenin İthali(Sol Kitap, 2001) Kansu, AykutBook Part Hegemonik Erkek(lik) ve Kültürel Temsil: Çirkin Kral Kurtlar Vadisi’nde Yürüyor(Kalkedon Yayınevi, 2011) Türk, Hasan Bahadır
